ALL DAY WORKSHOP

 

*Full 8 hour day, held at your facility.

*Geared toward both the students & teachers.

*Groups of 2-15 students per session, 1 to 2 hours per session.

*Coaches follow all day as I teach different stretches & techniques each session.

*Day includes 1 hour question & answer with the trainers at the end. 

*Workshop Covers:

How to safely become more flexible, using flexibility to prevent injuries, correct stretching techniques, new warm up ideas, how to use flexibility to improve competitive skills, and stretches students can do at home.  I work with the teachers to help them integrate the new material into their programs, answer and questions, give them motivational techniques, and help them with specific issues.

In my work, I use all non invasive stretching that the students can do at home.  It gets results fast, often they can see an instant result, getting them excited to progress more.

TEACHERS TRAINING WORKSHOP

 

*All day, 8 hours, held at your facility.

*Maximum 25 teachers.

*May mix teachers from different sports & open up to other facilities.

Teacher Training Workshops Cover: 

*How to increase flexibility safely.
*Injury prevention.
*New warm up ideas.
*Using flexibility to improve competitive elements.
*More effective ways to stretch in a short amount of time.
*Getting students motivated about stretching.
*Planning flexibility into existing programs.
*How to give young athletes good stretching foundations for life.
*Showing instructors how to recognize alignment issues & the problems they cause.
*Exercises to improve movement, balance, & posture.
*Helping older athletes adjust to changing bodies.

*Combination of All Day Workshop for Students & Teachers Training Workshop.

2-3 DAYS WORKSHOP

1) Good for larger facilities who have too many students for the All
Day Workshop.

2) Can be used for more detailed, specific work:

Example:

Day 1 - Normal all day workshop
Day 2 - Privates or Semi private sessions to work on specific issues or… Specific Advanced Sessions (ex. Advanced leg stretching, specific stretches for flyers, proper progressions for learning an elbow stand, back injury prevention etc.)

3) Can be used as a combo:
Day 1 - All Day Workshop
Day 2 - Teachers Training Workshop.

PRIVATE SESSIONS

*Minimum 3 hours.

*Alixa will do an evaluation, work on the existing issues, and create an individually tailored program that the athlete can work on at home.

Program will include:
Stretches that can be done at home
Specific injury prevention exercises
How to increase flexibility over a period of several months
Ways to advance exercises as flexibility increases
Help for specific elements or movements needed
Proper warm up & cool down
